Former Preferred Family Healthcare Executives Plead Guilty to Corruption Charges

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Two former executives of Missouri-based health nonprofit Preferred Family Healthcare entered guilty pleas to their roles in a corruption scheme that also included several Arkansas elected officials and lobbyists.

Sixty-three year old Bontiea Bernedette Goss and 66-year old Tommy Ray Goss admitted they paid bribes and kickbacks to Arkansas lawmakers to obtain favorable legislation and actions that benefited Preferred Family Healthcare.

Per the plea agreement, the Gosses must forfeit up to $4.3 million. A sentencing date will be set after a presentence investigation.

Preferred Family Healthcare operates in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Illinois, including locations in Trenton, Chillicothe and St. Joseph.
