Former St Joseph Business Owner Going to Prison
A former St Joseph business owner is going to prison after being sentenced Tuesday by Judge Patrick K. Robb.
The former business owner of Archies, that was located on the south side of St Joseph, Scott Rowland was originally on felony probation from 2019 for stealing more than $750 from Applebee’s where he was a manager at one of their locations.
Multiple businesses reported to the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Joshua Bachman that Rowland was passing bad checks with the intent to defraud the businesses.
Rowland also had former employees standing outside his business back in 2021 demanding he pay their owed wages.
Judge Patrick K. Robb sentenced Rowland to seven years for violating his felony probation and ordered his sentence start immediately.
