Four Area Residents Seriously Injured in Clinton County Crash

Four area residents were injured in a Monday afternoon crash in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on I-35, nearly three miles south of Lathrop, when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Lathrop resident Devyn S. Robinson was heading southbound.

Troopers say Robinson’s vehicle slid on the ice-covered road, went across the median, and struck the front of a northbound vehicle driven by 71-year-old Braymer resident Elihu Tatum.

Robinson and two passengers, Lathrop residents 19-year-old Blake M. Brown and 19-year-old Kriston E. Pennington, all suffered serious injuries and were taken to Liberty and North Kansas City Hospitals for treatment.

Tatum also suffered serious injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.

Troopers say all involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
