Freshman Missouri Congressman: Conservative Agenda Intact with New Speaker

(MISSOURINET) – Freshman Congressman Mark Alford says the past week’s Speaker standoff in the U-S House gained ground for conservatives.
Though he never voted AGAINST Kevin McCarthy to be House Speaker —-in a message to constituents Alford only mentioned Jim Jordan of Ohio.
Kevin McCarthy of California made concessions to a faction of the party in order to become Speaker. Those will be played out in the coming months.
