Galt Accident That Injured Driver and Passenger Blamed on Slick Roadway

Frost on the roadway this morning resulted in an accident in Galt that left two with injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a pickup operated by 33-year old Eliezer Santiago of Milan was westbound on Highway 6 in Galt when it hit the frost. The pickup slid off the north side of the roadway where it struck an embankment and a tree before coming to a rest.

Santiago and 47-year old Ruiz Osvaldo of Ponce, Puerto Rico sustained moderate injuries in the crash. Neither was wearing a seat belt. They were transported to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

The accident took place around 8 a.m. this morning.
