Hamilton Man Killed In Freak Accident On Highway 36

A Hamilton man died following a freak accident east of Cameron Tuesday afternoon on Highway 36.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports dual tires came off an axle of the tractor trailer while it was heading eastbound on U.S. 36 Highway, about a 1 and a half east of Cameron. Those dual tires went across the median and into the westbound lanes of Highway 36. That resulted in a head-on impact with the tires and a vehicle that was heading westbound. 72 year old Jerry Graham of Hamilton was driving the vehicle hit by the tires. His car went off the side of the roadway and went down an embankment. He was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center but died about 2 hours after the accident was reported to the Highway Patrol

39 year old Stanley Parker of Oak Ridge was the operator of the tractor-trailer.

The accident was reported to the patrol around 2:20pm. The Cameron Fire Department and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Highway Patrol.
