Rumble strip installation will narrow Interstate 29 today and Friday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Herzog Contracting Corp. to resurface I-29 from just south of Route O to the Platte County line.
The rumble strip work will be conducted during daylight hours today and Friday, October 2.
Crews will work in the northbound passing lane first, followed by the southbound passing lane, northbound driving lane and finally the southbound driving lane.
One lane will be closed around the rumble strip operation with a 12-foot width restriction.
This will be a moving operation with truck-mounted attenuators alerting traffic of the upcoming work zone.
All motorists are asked to slow down and move over when approaching and driving through the work zone.
All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change.
