Independence Man Injured in Saturday Crash in Atchison County

An Independence man was injured in a Saturday accident in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on I-29, one mile south of Rock Port, when a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Kenneth A. Thomas was heading northbound.
Troopers say Thomas’ front driver’s steer tire blew out and caused his freightliner to cross the median and overturn.
Thomas suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
Troopers say he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
