Kansas City Woman Injured After Striking Deer on I-35 Saturday Night

A Kansas City, Missouri, woman suffered injuries in a Clinton County crash late Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 11:00 Saturday evening on I-35, three miles north of Lathrop, as 26-year-old Kelsey L. Jack drove southbound.

Troopers say Jack struck a deer after it entered the roadway, and she came to a controlled stop on the shoulder of I-35 southbound.

Jack suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital.

Authorities say Jack did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
