KC Man Suffers Serious Injuries After Rear Ending School Bus

 

A Kansas City man was left with serious injuries after rear ending a school bus in Ray County Wednesday morning.

According to the accident report from Troop A of the Highway Patrol, 50-year-old Lexington resident Lou Ann Miller was driving a 2014 International school bus at Brashears Road and 73rd Street in Ray County at 7:20 A.M. Wednesday.

The bus had slowed and stopped at a scheduled bus stop when it was struck from behind by a 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 being driven by 22-year-old Kansas City resident Haret S. Alvarado Vazquez.

Miller was reportedly buckled up but still suffered minor injuries. She was taken by Ray County EMS to Lafayette Regional in Lexington. She was the only injury listed on the bus.

Alvarado Vazquez was also reportedly wearing a seat belt but he suffered serious injuries and was taken by Ray County EMS to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment.
