King City Council Approves Chief of Police

King City’s Board of Aldermen hired a new Chief of Police for King City following a vote on the position Monday evening. The council held interviews with two candidates and then hired Dylan Standiford to the Chief of Police position. His first day was Tuesday.

King City’s Council tabled their decision about taking over ownership of the King City pool facility. The pool committee would like the city to take ownership of the pool so that more grant opportunities can be explored.

Council members approved an insurance renewal with MOPERM, a payment for tree service to Northwest Missouri Tree Service, and a liquor license to the Rocking Horse Ranch.

The filing date deadline for candidates interested in city positions is December 27th.
