Lawmakers Dance the Night Away at the Missouri Legislature’s Inaugural Ball

(MISSOURINET) –  Every two years, state lawmakers dress up for a fancy ball at the Missouri Capitol. They dance and chat with one another, their families, statewide elected leaders, lobbyists, and the public. During the Legislature’s Inaugural Ball Wednesday night, State Representative Brenda Shields, of St. Joseph, was ready to dance…

Shields said her favorite part of the ball is visiting with her legislative friends…

Shields said her priority this year is a bill that would allow people to go to physical therapy for 10 visits or three weeks, whichever comes first, without getting a doctor’s order first.
