Lee’s Summit Woman Injured in Buchanan County Crash Monday

A Lee’s Summit woman suffered injuries in a Buchanan County crash Monday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on the southbound I-29 exit ramp to Frederick Avenue as a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Lee’s Summit resident Kara L. McCartney drove southbound.
Authorities say McCartney stopped at a yield sign when she was struck in the rear by another southbound vehicle driven by 40-year-old Maryville resident Mitchell W. Coffelt.
McCartney suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Troopers listed no injury information for Coffelt.
Authorities report all involved wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
