Maryville Driver Seriously Hurt In Weather-Related Accident

A Maryville driver was seriously injured after losing control of a vehicle while driving in snow near Savannah.

The Highway Patrol reports 36 year old Melissa Sybert was driving southbound on Highway 71, 9 miles south of Savannah, and lost control of a pickup while driving on a snow covered roadway. The pickup eventually went off the roadway, overturned, and struck a fence.

The driver was also thrown from the vehicle.

Sybert was taken to Mosaic Life Care following the accident.

The accident took place at 6:40pm. The Andrew County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Highway Patrol.
