Maryville Man Injured in Crash on U.S. 71 Wednesday Night

A Maryville man suffered injuries in a Nodaway County crash Wednesday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 5:30 Wednesday night on U.S. 71, a mile north of Maryville, as a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Philip J. Fick headed southbound.
Troopers say a westbound vehicle driven by 29-year-old Maryville resident Javier E. Jimenez traveled across U.S. 71 and into the path of Fick’s vehicle.
Fick’s vehicle went off the road, struck a stop sign, and came to a rest.
Jimenez came to a rest on northbound 71.
Fick suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Maryville.
Authorities say both men wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
