Michigan Driver Injured in Overnight Accident Near Hamilton

CALDWELL COUNTY, MO – A Michigan driver was injured last night in an accident near Hamilton.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as both 63-year old Troy, Michigan resident Bandyak Volodymr and 49-year old Brian Frederick of St. Joseph were westbound on U.S. Hwy 36, 3 miles east of Hamilton around 10:10 pm. Frederick was driving slowly on the shoulder attempting to merge into the driving lane when Volodymr’s vehicle struck Frederick’s in the rear. Both vehicles traveled off the north side of the roadway and came to rest, partially blocking the roadway.

Volodymr was taken to Liberty Hospital with moderate injuries.
