Missouri Congresswoman Bush Calls President Biden’s 1.75-Trillion-Dollar Social Safety Net Package “Transformative”

(Missourinet) Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush says President Biden’s 1.75-trillion-dollar social safety net, violence prevention and climate change package is transformative. The plan, being called the Build Back Better Act, would include building or improving more than one-million new affordable housing units and help with rental and down payment aid. During a virtual town hall Wednesday night, Bush, a Democrat from St. Louis, said the U.S. House plans to bring up the plan next week that would expand access to universal preschool and hearing services through Medicare.

Missouri U.S. Senator Roy Blunt calls the bill a huge political risk for Democrats.
