Missouri could have another U.S. Senate candidate next week.
West-central Missouri Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler is holding a “special campaign announcement” next Thursday in Lee’s Summit near Kansas City. Hartzler, a Republican, has been considering whether to jump into the race for U.S. Senate.
Missouri U.S. Senator Roy Blunt is not running for re-election next year. Republicans who have already announced a bid for the seat include Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and former Governor Eric Greitens.
Democrats include former Affton State Senator Scott Sifton and former Marine Lucas Kunce of Jefferson City.
