Missouri Senate Set to Debate Budget Surplus Tax Credit

(MISSOURINET) – The Missouri Senate is set to debate how much (if any) of credit taxpayers may get.

Upon Senate approval, some taxpayers would receive 500-dollars and married couples twice that.

Low-income residents and senior citizens who do not make enough money would not qualify, but wealthier people would benefit from the plan.

Republican Representative J. Eggleston of Maysville says it’s a careless redistribution of money.
