Missouri State Fair Offers Something for Everyone

(MissouriNet) Bring on the fried Oreos and the footlong corndogs. The Missouri State Fair is the place to be for all things agriculture. It runs August 10th through the 20th in west-central Missouri’s Sedalia.  State Fair Director Mark Wolfe says camp site reservations are filling up.  “We’re approaching 2,000 full hook-up campsites on the fairgrounds,” says Wolfe. “And one of the things that actually got funded along with that purchase of land that included funding to add another 600 campsites out there. And we need them. We just added 150 a couple years ago and we’re out again. I mean, we’re gonna have people waiting or get turned away and we hate that. The fair is growing. There’s no question.”

Attractions include carnival rides, live concerts, a daily comedy wild west show, and a barbeque contest on August 11.
