MO Board of Education Talks About Teachers Having Problems Reaching Students Learning Online

Missouri K-12 Education Commissioner Margie Vandeven says some school employees are going door to door trying to reach students learning online who have fallen off the grid this school year.

During a legislative committee hearing last week, state Representative Brenda Shields, a Republican from St. Joseph, said a teacher in her district has not been able to reach about 30 of her students over the past five weeks of school. Shields says the teacher has called and emailed the students and their parents.
