MO Doctor Expects Significant Levels of COVID-19 Transmission Through the Holidays

A Missouri doctor says he is expecting fairly significant levels of COVID-19 transmission throughout the holidays this year. Dr. Clay Dunagan, an infectious disease expert at Washington University in St. Louis, says the pandemic could be shifting to a new phase. He says a pattern of coronavirus case tracking shows a strong suggestion that the future evolution of the virus will probably have periodic surges.

 

Dunagan says it’s too soon to predict the long term pattern of the virus.
