Mo-Dot Hosting Public Mtg on Buchanan County Intersection Improvement

A public information meeting is being held tomorrow night in St. Joseph to discuss intersection improvement plans for the Buchanan County U.S. Route 59, Route 752 and Route U intersection in southern St. Joseph.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will host the public information opportunity on Tuesday, November 1, from 4:30 to 6 P.M., at Hosea Elementary School located at 6401 Gordon Avenue in St. Joseph.

This will be an open house with no formal presentation, so the public is invited to come any time between 4:30 and 6 P.M.

Engineers and right of way employees from MoDOT will be available to discuss plans for the intersection, right of way, potential detour routes and receive feedback.

The project is currently scheduled to go out for contractor bidding in March 2024.

If you are unable to attend the open house, two other opportunities for public comment are available through Friday, November 18. You can visit the project website to review project information, leave comments and sign up for project-specific updates.
