MO Employers Get Tips to Help Boost Workforce and Business

(MISSOURINET) –  The staffing struggle is real for many Missouri businesses and a conference this week aims to help them with this problem. The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a workforce conference in Independence – to help employers thrive and create a vibrant workforce the rest of this decade. Nicholas Wyman (Why-men), the president of Institute for Workplace Skills and Innovation, is a keynote speaker. He says businesses need to expand their view on who they are hiring and also consider workplace-based training through apprenticeships.

He says we are not in a labor market to keep doing what you’ve been doing and expect a different result.
