More I-35 Closures At Kearney This Week
The on going interchange construction project on Interstate 35 at Kearney will cause more lane closures this week.
On Tuesday crews will close the driving lane of northbound I-35 at approximately mile marker 25 in Kearney beginning at 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. for bridge work. Then Tuesday evening at 6 P.M. crews will close the driving lane of southbound I-35 at Missouri Route 92 for pavement sawing. That closure will last until 8 A.M. Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday crews will move to the passing lane of northbound I-35, closing that lane at mile-marker 25 from 7 A.M. until Noon for pavement marking. Also on Wednesday crews will close I-35 from Missouri Route 92 to mile-marker 25 from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. for pavement marking.
Crews have also announced plans to close the driving lane of southbound I-35 from Route 92 to mile-marker 25 from 6 P.M. Wednesday until 8 A.M. Thursday for pavement sawing.
This work is part the larger project constructing a new interchange on I-35 at 19th Street about one mile south of Route 92. The new interchange will cross over I-35 and will include ramps to and from I-35, bike lanes, and will accommodate pedestrians with trails and sidewalks.
