Mount Ayr Council Approves Streets For Chip Seal Work

Mount Ayr’s Board of Aldermen approved a contribution to the Loch Ayr Lake Shelter House during their meeting Monday.

The council also approved the cost for chip seal work for previously approved streets. Left over funds will be used for the chip seal.

Rehab Systems was approved as a contractor for manhole rehabilitation.

The mayor was also approved to sign off on the documents which closes for property sales currently owned by the city on East Jefferson and North Cleveland Streets.

A sealed bid was approved for a dump trailer.

The council declined grant funding for airport lighting after receiving bids for the work. The bids were substantially higher than anticipated.

Commercial Roof Coatings was also approved for roofing work needed at Mount Ayr City Hall.

Two liquor licenses were also approved by council members.
