NCMC Announces Commencement Speakers

North Central Missouri College has announced their commencement speakers for this spring.

The former president of State Fair Community College, Dr. Joanna Anderson will speak at the 9am ceremony on Saturday, May 4th. She has served in community college leadership for 36 years. 21 of those were at NCMC. She retired after 9 years as president of State Fair Community College in Sedalia in 2022. She graduated from Trenton Junior College in 1976 when only Geyer Hall existed as a building. Dr. Anderson was honored as a distinguished alumnus of the University of Missouri and the Missouri Community College Association in 2009. She was also honored as a distinguished alumnus of North Central Missouri College in 2013.

Chief Executive Officer Mike Poore of Mosaic Life Care will be the afternoon commencement speaker. He has more than 20 years of experience as a CEO and more than 35 years of experience in health care. The afternoon ceremony will be held at 1pm on May 4th.

Both of the ceremonies will be held at Ketcham Community Center on the NCMC campus.
