New Statue of Missouri’s Own Harry S. Truman Unveiled at U.S. Capitol, Senator Blunt Responds

(MISSOURINET)  –  A statue of President Harry S Truman is now representing the State of Missouri in Statuary Hall at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.

Senator Roy Blunt helped unveil the 10th presidential statue in the Rotunda.

The retiring Missouri senator reflected on a personal physical connection he has to the nation’s 33rd president.

The Truman Library institute in Kansas City led the effort to raise the money tohave the statue created by a Missouri artist.
