Omaha Driver Seriously Injured in Holt County Crash

HOLT COUNTY, MO – A Nebraska driver was hospitalized after a one-vehicle accident in Holt County Sunday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 74-year old Charles Cornwell of Omaha was northbound on US 159, 5 miles north of Forrest City around 10:15 last night when his vehicle travelled off the east side of the roadway where he struck a guard rail. The vehicle continued down an embankment where it overturned and struck a concrete bridge support column. The vehicle came to rest on its top.
Cornwell was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
