Osborn Man Injured and Charged in Monday Accident
An Osborn man suffered injures and charges in a Monday morning accident in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on U.S. 36 at Baker Road, a mile north of Osborn, when a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Joshua L. Pierson was heading westbound.
Troopers say Pierson went off the west side of the road and overturned.
Pierson suffered minor injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities say Pierson was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Following the crash, troopers arrested Pierson on preliminary charges of felony possession of a controlled substance of Xanax, driving while intoxicated via drug intoxication, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, and possession of marijuana-a prior offense.
