Pattonsburg School Board Approves Land Sale Of Former School Campus

Pattonsburg School Board members approved the sale of land of the former location of the Pattonsburg school during a meeting held on Monday night. The sale of the land will be taken by sealed bids with a minimum bid of $1,000.

Board members approved a Tax Rate Hearing for the August meeting on August 17th at 5:45pm. Bids were approved to Anderson and Erickson for milk products, MFA for fuel, and Waste Management Company for solid waste services. Approval was also given to allow Brown Lumber to display senior composites for the 2022-23 school year.

Superintendent Bill Pottorff provided updates on projects which have been undertaken for the summer. Flooring in the elementary bathrooms have been completed. The Ag-Maintenance Building has been powerwashed. A new phone system will be going in next week. A new camera system will be installed once all components are received.

Pattonsburg will transport its own students to the Career Center for the 2022-23 school year.

In an executive session, Pattonsburg’s board hired Susie Sperry as Head Cook and Bill Pottorff as Head Junior High Basketball Coach. AK Electric has been hired to complete electrical work in the Ag and Maintenance Building.
