Richmond Woman Hurt in Accident That Takes Out Power

A Richmond woman suffered serious injuries and knocked out power in Ray County in an accident Sunday evening.
According to Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 6:50 P.M. Sunday evening 52-year-old Richmond resident Mary E. Carmichael was driving a 2008 Cadillac on highway 10 when her vehicle went off the right side of the roadway. Carmichael overcorrected and the vehicle struck a utility pole.
Carmichael was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries. She was taken by ray County EMS to Liberty Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The accident knocked out power to that area of Ray County for several hours.
