Ridgeway Man Charged With Child Endangerment

HARRISON COUNTY, MO – A Ridgeway man has been charged after law enforcement says he endangered the life of his two-year-old child.

According to a statement issued by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, officers allege Christopher Thomas left the child in the care of a non-related female, knowing she was asleep. The investigating officer said the child was found alone, with no shoes, in the middle of the street crossing U.S. Highway 69, five blocks from his house. In the application for a warrant, the officer said Thomas ran on foot through Ridgeway when law enforcement arrived.

Thomas is charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. A warrant has been issued for his arrest with bond set at $5,000 cash only.
