Ridgeway Resident Accused of Stealing While Out on Bond

BETHANY, MO – Harrison County officials have made an additional arrest in the burglary investigation in which two Bethany residents were arrested last week. Court records indicate Mark Bottcher of Ridgeway is facing nine felony counts of stealing a firearm and one felony count of stealing.

Authorities charged Chad Service and Harlon Lee last wee with burglary. Officers say an investigation into a residential burglary found Service and Lee stole multiple firearms, tools and other valuable items. A probable cause affidavit filed with the court indicates officers executed a search warrant at Bottcher’s residence after gaining information that Lee and Service took the stolen guns there.

At the time of the latest allegations, Bottcher was out on bond in a previous cases where he is charged in Harrison County with two felony counts of stealing, alleged to have taken place in August, 2021. He was released from jail on those charges after posting a $500 bond.

Bottcher made an initial appearance in Court Friday. A bond hearing has been set for February 23rd.
