RSV Cases on the Rise in Northwestern Missouri

RSV cases are on the rise in northwest Missouri.

Doctor Jamie Ball with Mosaic Internal Medicine and Pediatrics says there likely would be more cases reported if more patients underwent a swab.

And, even then, there are a lot of viruses out there. . .

Mosaic reports treating 13 cases throughout its northwest Missouri system on the week of November 19th .

That rose to 25 the next week and 38 the week of December 3rd.

Ball says the best way to avoid RSV is to practice personal hygiene, including frequent hand washing, and avoid people who are sick.
