Smithville Man Injured in Early Morning Accident

A man from Smithville was injured early Wednesday morning in an accident in Johnson County.
The accident report from the Missouri Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Chilhowee, Missouri resident Nicholas H. Dunn was making a right turn from US-50 Highway. At 6:55 am, 22-year-old Luke D. Vollenweider of Smithville struck Dunn’s vehicle while headed westbound.
Vollenweider is listed on the report with minor injuries for which he will seek his own treatment and moderate injuries for which he was transported to Lees Summit Medical Center.
