South Harrison Board Approves Construction Technology Project for 23-24
South Harrison School Board members approved the 2023-24 school year’s Construction Technology House Project during their meeting Monday night.
The board selected a house construction project for Andrew and Shila Callaway at the meeting.
The board approved Allison Slagle as the 2023 Student Advisor to the Board. The position is intended to serve as a conduit between the South Harrison School Board and students. The student advisor attends South Harrison School Board meetings but does not have voting privledges.
South Harrison Principal Jason Slaughter also gave a presentation on a goal to upgrade South Harrison Memorial Stadium. More information on the project will be released when plans are finalized. The upgrade will include a scoreboard and lighting for South Harrison.
In the executive session, South Harrison’s board accepted the resignation of Special Education teacher Courtney Johnson at the end of the year, and Carrie Gibson as Office Manager. The board also approved Miranda Tracy to full time para status.
Superintendent Dennis Eastin also had his contract extended through the 2024-25 school year.
