South Harrison School Board Keeps Career Center Tuition Steady
South Harrison School Board members reviewed some of their Annual Performance Review scores achieved to this point by the district and made a decision on their Career Center tuition for next year during a meeting held Monday night.
South Harrison Superintendent Dennis Eastin reviewed the Continuous Improvement scores received by the district which account for 30 percent of the school’s overall score for their Annual Performance Review. South Harrison received a score of 78. That score is equal to the state’s average. Student test scores will be reviewed by the board next month. Those scores will account for 70 percent of the district’s Annual Performance Review.
South Harrison’s board agreed to keep the Career Center tuition at just over $4,000 for a 3 hour block. The Career Center attendance has experienced increases in recent years.
Superintendent Eastin provided an update on the district’s website for board members. The school is attempting to work out a bug in the school’s application for phones. The school also plans to include an “Employer” section to their website to give community information for prospective employees.
The Williford Foundation’s STEM event held last week was also reviewed with board members at the session.
