St. Joseph Man Sentenced to 75 Years on Two Sex Crime Charges

A Saint Joseph man received a 75-year prison sentence this week for a pair of sex crime charges.

Reports say the court sentenced 28-year-old Jerez S. Collins to 75 years on two felony charges of rape and sodomy.

Collins pleaded guilty to the charges in October.

Those charges come as a result of a June 2020 incident at a gas station at 22nd and Messanie.

Collins received 75 years for each count but will serve the two sentences at the same time.
