Stanberry School District Creates Bulldog Pride Foundation
The Stanberry School District has created the Stanberry Bulldog Pride Foundation. During a meeting Monday night, Stanberry School Board members were told that the creation of the foundation is the result of a response from current and former community members of Stanberry who are interested in providing a way to donate to the district. The endowment created by the Foundation will only use funding acquired through investments and will keep the principal contributed to the Foundation intact throughout its life. The Stanberry School District plans to provide more information about the Foundation through the district’s website and social media pages.
The Stanberry board received a presentation from Joey Adcock and other community members about a desire to begin a school-sponsored baseball program at Stanberry. Meetings will be held on the subject in the next few weeks to get more information for the board’s consideration.
Stanberry’s board discussed their Annual Performance Report which was released earlier this month. Health insurance rates for the next school year at Stanberry will reflect a 1.9 percent increase.
The school’s facilities plan was reviewed. There will be adjustments made to the football field concessions/bathroom plans this month.
Stanberry’s board hired Vanessa Pappert and Elizabeth Simbro for next year’s staff.
Contract stipulations and the salary schedule were reviewed by the board.
The board accepted resignations from Diane jensen, Susie Wiederholt as Junior High Cheer sponsor, and Jeff Maronde as Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach.
