Suspect Arrested in Mercer County Shooting

MERCER COUNTY, MO – Mercer County authorities responded to a call of shots fired early Sunday morning.

The Sheriff’s Department says several shots were fired at an individual after an altercation between the two parties. Upon responding to the rural Mercer County resident it was discovered that there were no injuries. The male subject allegedly fired the shots and retreated to a residence, but surrendered without further incident.

Court records indicate that 50-year-old Princeton resident Ray Frank Lewis has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.  A warrant was issued for Lewis.  Bond has been denied.
