Suspect in Princeton Bank Robbery in Custody

PRINCETON, MO – The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information on the robbery of First Interstate Bank in Princeton on Friday.

Sheriff Jose Lopez said Mercer County Emergency Services received a 911 call from the bank around 9:29 am stating they had been robbed.  The bank reported that a single male subject entered the bank wearing a disguise and demanded money from the teller while displaying a handgun.

Authorities released a photo of the suspect’s vehicle asking the public for any information on its whereabouts.  The truck was observed in Knoxville, Iowa by the Knoxville Police Department.

Following an investigation, Phillip M. Blink was charged with robbery in the first degree; armed criminal action; stealing or attempt to steal from a financial institution; and unlawful use of a weapon.   He is being held on a no-bond warrant.
