Trenton Woman Fatally Injured in Sunday Afternoon Crash

GRUNDY COUNTY, MO – A Trenton woman was killed when stopped for road construction near Trenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident took place around 12:46 pm on Missouri Route 6, 1 mile west of Trenton as 66-year-old James Havens of Trenton
was stopped at a traffic light put in place for a work zone. Seventy-seven-year-old Twyila Whitney of Trenton struck the rear of Havens’ vehicle.
Whitney was pronounced dead at Wright Memorial Hospital. Havens suffered moderate injuries. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
