Troopers arrested two area residents early Wednesday morning in DeKalb County on felony charges.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says troopers arrested both 33-year-old Saint Joseph resident Georgia N. Starkey and 23-year-old Cameron resident Riandten C. Brant.

Starkey was arrested on preliminary charges of felony possession of a controlled substance.

Brant was arrested on preliminary charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and being a felony in possession of a firearm.

Both were taken to the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail and booked on 24-hour holds.
