Tulsa Man Injured in I-29 Crash Monday Afternoon in St. Joseph

A Tulsa, Oklahoma, man suffered injuries in a Buchanan County crash Monday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 2:10 Monday afternoon on I-29 southbound at mile marker 48, within the city limits of Saint Joseph, as 33-year-old Amazonia resident David M. Johnson drove a Ford F550.

Troopers say Johnson failed to observe 73-year-old Tulsa resident James B. Martin’s Ram 3500 slowing for traffic and struck Martin’s towed unit, lodging the two vehicles together.

Martin suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic.

Authorities say both men wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
