Two Injured in Clinton County Crash Monday

Two people suffered injuries in a Clinton County crash Monday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 11:11 Monday morning on Route W, five miles southwest of Lathrop, as 58-year-old Ottowa, Illinois, man Casey Stawarz drove northbound.
Troopers say Stawarz lost control, crossed the center of the road, and struck a southbound vehicle driven by 38-year-old Lathrop resident Bryce W. Mitchell.
Stawarz suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital.
A passenger in Mitchell’s vehicle, 38-year-old Plattsburg resident Eric D. Gantt, suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital.
Authorities say only Stawarz wore a seat belt at the time of the crash.
