Two Injured-One Seriously in Nodaway County Accident

The driver of a car was seriously injured following an accident east of Hopkins on Missouri Highway 246 late Friday evening. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 20-year-old Tanner Wilcox of Parnell was driving eastbound on Highway 246-4 miles east of Hopkins and went off the side of the roadway. His vehicle struck a field entrance, went airborne, and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels. 21-year-old Clayton Farrell of Maryville was an occupant in the vehicle and had moderate injuries. Both were taken to Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville. Wilcox was also cited for a misdemeanor DWI and Careless and Imprudent Driving Resulting in a Motor Vehicle Crash. The accident took place just after 10:30 on Friday evening.
