Two Injuries in Four Vehicle Crash in St. Joseph
Two men were injured in an accident Wednesday afternoon in St. Joseph.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 25-year-old Tyler M. Odell of St. Joseph was not wearing a seat belt as he failed to stop at a red light at I-229 while traveling east on US-36 at 4:40 pm.
Odell’s vehicle struck a pickup driven by 32-year-old Joel C. Jorgensen of Troy, Kansas in the front left with its right side. The impact to Jorgensen’s vehicle caused it to strike a concrete barrier with its undercarriage.
Next, Odell’s vehicle struck a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Eli C. Gallagher of St. Joe in the left front with its left side, sending Gallagher’s vehicle into an SUV driven by 39-year-old Dustin D. Robinson of Elwood, Kansas.
The vehicles came to rest blocking two lanes of US-36 Highway.
Odell was moderately injured with Jorgensen suffering a minor injury. Both were transported to Mosaic in St. Joseph, Jorgenson by private vehicle and Odell by ambulance.
