Update on Missouri River Levee System in Northwest Missouri

The U-S Army Corps of Engineers says 2019 posed problems in northern Missouri not even seen in the major floods in 1993 and 2011. Corps Kansas City office Commander Colonel William Hannan spoke to our Missourinet affiliate:

Meantime, a bipartisan group in Missouri’s congressional delegation is calling on the U-S Army Corps of Engineers to change the way it manages the Missouri River. Every member of the delegation except St. Louis Congresswoman Cori Bush has signed the letter, including U-S Senators Roy Blunt and Josh Hawley.
