Virtual Health Care Career Day on Friday

Students leaning towards a care in health care will want to take advantage of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s first-ever virtual Health Care Career Day coming up on Friday.

The free event for students and educators is set to showcase Missouri’s cutting-edge health care organizations and educational institutions, highlighting a variety of health care career pathways with video tours and interviews as well as live Q&A sessions with real Missouri health care professionals.

the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry says even before COVID-19, Missouri faced a critical shortage of health care professionals. The pandemic made this situation more severe.

Featured organizations include St. Luke’s Health System, BJC Healthcare, Cox Health, Boone Health, Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, Mosaic Life Care, MU Health Care and St. Francis Healthcare System.

More than 6,000 K-12 and higher education students, across 13 states and roughly 200 schools, are registered to attend.

Health Care Career Day is being held Friday, February 25 from 9 A.M. until 1 P.M. via Facebook Live. The full agenda is available at mochamber.com/health-care-career-day.
